Shrine of the Slithering Slumber
Concept: Shrine of the Slithering Slumber is an island-crawl for Pirate Borg.
Content: An extensive island crawl adventure locale in The Dark Yucatan, packed with encounter locations, rollable tables and all manner of new secrets to unearth all guarded by mysterious beasties!
Writing: Expertly done to say the least, this entire Adventure is so wonderfully well written that it is just plain fun to read it, never mind play it. All aspects of The Dark Yucatan feel well thought out and carry the right amount of weight for a largely unexplored region of The Dark Caribbean.
Art/design: Art and layout are amazing in this entry, from the variable shading of the backgrounds to allow for ease of reading and the subtle changes in font usage throughout to guide the readers eye to the correct areas on the page.
Usability: While it may be set in The Dark Yucatan this adventure is something that every Harbourmaster needs to find a way to bring their groups around to checking out. Plot hooks don't even feel like a hook, they effortlessly weave themselves in to the narrative. Even if you do not get it to the table you need to absorb this as it will uplift you in the role of Harbourmaster.
