Curses, Whispers and Hallucinations

Concept: Tables to generate content on the fly for Pirate Borg.

Content: Random tables and generators for Strange Curses, Rumors and Whispers, and Mirages and Hallucinations.

Writing: Clearly written and easily read, straightforward and to the point.

Art/design: Very clean layout with excellent background choices for clarity. Some slight table format changes from page to page are unusual but not detrimental to making use of the product.

Usability: Content intended for the Harbourmaster to add some more life to the game via simple tables to generate interesting anecdotes for the Players to interact with or use as roleplaying options. Always a welcome addition to any Harbourmasters bag of tricks.

Diseases of The Dark Caribbean

Concept: New Rules for Diseases to augment the existing Pirate Borg rules.

Content: Diseases of The Dark Caribbean contains infection rules, lore and dire consequences for each of the 17 most feared infections that a pirate could get and 3 lucky days. (Also recently updated to add in a Spread on Medicines of The Dark Caribbean as well)

Writing: Written with a leaning towards the comically macabre. It is concise and to the point with each entry.

Art/design: At first glance the artwork in this is very Pirate Borg, however it is overshadowed with the sheer intensity of the colours chosen and the layout of each Disease/Medicine is so tightly packed as to make the document difficult to read in many instances. Stylistically it is impressive but functionally difficult.

Usability: If you want to add some more meat to the bones of the Infection rules presented in the Core Rules then this Supplement will provide you with a wealth of information ready to use.

Hooks of Tortuga

Concept: An aid for the Harbourmaster to help bring the city of Tortuga to life.

Content: Tables and Story Hooks to breathe new life in to the Port of Tortuga, things you might see, people you might meet and events that might be taking place as your Pirates explore the famed Pirate haven.

Writing: Quite well written and presented with just enough detail to leave a Harbourmaster with a host of options to present their players.

Art/design: Excellent background and font selections make this product delightfully easy to read and therefore make use of.

Usability: If you have ever found yourself struggling for nuanced descriptions of a place to make it feel more 'lived in' then Hooks of Tortuga is a tool you need to add to your repertoire.

La Mulata

Concept: A ship and her crew for use with Pirate Borg

Content: La Mulata contains the titular Ship and a small Crew which she carries along with inspiration for what the ship carries, where she might go and so forth.

Writing: La Mulata is a breath of fresh air in written form. Thematically an excellent work with that perfect meeting of design and function.

Art/design: Using a deceptively simple and yet somehow evocative art style, La Mulata is actually a lot of fun to read with several small map locations and interesting use of design to draw the eye to the content.

Usability: How often have you had a Crew find a harbour and say "What ships are in port?" and you scramble for ideas on the fly? Well La Mulata takes one entry off that list and even comes with a small crew should your Players want to interact with someone other than "Generic Pirate B" Simple motives and several hooks allow you to drop La Mulata anywhere and have it be effective.

Rules for Faction Bound Classes

Concept: Want more major faction engagement in your Pirate Borg games? Interested in harnessing the power of a major nation, cult, or power when you take a class?

Content: These are a few simple guidelines to flesh out faction interaction, and to allow players to take positions with those factions via pc class.

Writing: Very cleanly written for a subject often considered obtuse or complex by many Players.

Art/design: Lovely blending of the artwork and the layout has been done with this product allowing both to take equal share of the attention without interfering with one another.

Usability: If your Players are keen to dabble in the political landscape of The Dark Caribbean and you are not sure how to make that work currently then this Supplement is a great guide for you to do so.
